Confirmation is the sacrament that completes the work begun at baptism. Makes a person a soldier for Christ and equips them with the fullness of the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Form of Confirmation: "Be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit"
Matter of Confirmation: Hands on the person and anointing him with chrism (blessed oil)
Rite of Confirmation: The Calling of Names, The Renewal of Baptismal Promises, The Laying on of Hands, and The Anointing with Chrism

My Confirmation name is Chantal, and I chose it because of the story of St. Jane Frances de Chantal. After the murdering of her husband she turned to God for the strength to deal with the sorrow and the strength to forgive the man who killed him. She became seen as a very holy woman and eventually even invited the man into her home to forgive him and become friends.
